Research Focus

figureFluctuation phenomena far from thermal equilibrium, transport in correlated electron systems, nonlinear vibrations, nonlinear optics of solids, and quantum information.

Figure: Modulated quantum systems, including those used in quantum information processing, display a new mechanism of interstate switching, which differs from the conventional quantum tunneling and thermal activation; we call it quantum activation.
