The special events currently planned for the conference are:

• Welcome Breakfast (Monday 7:40-08:40 AM; open to all registered participants and accompanying persons.
• Welcome Reception (Monday 18:30–20:30)
• Women and Minority in DIS Breakfast (Tuesday 7:45-8:45 AM)
• Mentoring – More than just academic (Tuesday 12:40-13:50)
• Excursions (Wednesday Afternoon 13:30-17:30)
• Conference Banquet (Thursday Evening 18:30-21:30)
