SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT FOR 26th WINTER WORKSHOP ON NUCLEAR DYNAMICS http://www.pa.msu.edu/conf/wwnd2010 Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa, Ocho Rios, Jamaica January 2 - 9, 2010 Dear Colleagues, We wish to remind you about the 26th Winter Workshop on Nuclear Dynamics, which will be next January in Jamaica at the Sunset Jamaica Grande Resort and Spa in Ocho Rios (http://www.sunsetjamaicagrande.com). The workshop will feature heavy ion physics, along with other areas in nuclear physics and astrophysics. The program will begin with a reception the evening of Saturday, Jan. 2nd. Scientific presentations will begin Sunday morning, January 3rd, and the workshop will close just after noon on Saturday, January 9th. We recommended flying into Montego Bay (MBJ), which is a ~90 minute drive from MBJ. Please email the organizers (wwnd@pa.msu.edu) with your flight arrival/departure times. The organizers are investigating whether they can arrange for a group shuttle for a few specific times. Otherwise, there are commercial services available (http://www.pa.msu.edu/conf/wwnd/travel.html). More information about shuttle services will be provided in December. Registration is open at the workshop web site (http://www.pa.msu.edu/conf/wwnd2010). During registration you can volunteer to make a presentation. If you wish to confirm whether your talk will be accepted into the program, please contact Scott Pratt at (wwnd@pa.msu.edu) and in most cases you can get immediate confirmation. Talks will be either 20 or 25 minutes, to be decided after registration is closed. A conference fee of 250 USD will be collected at the workshop, and amongst other items, will cover a copy of the proceedings. More information about the proceedings will be provided later. The Sunset Jamaica Grande is a recently renovated and refurbished full-service all-inclusive hotel with beautiful white sand beaches, minutes from the exciting night life of Ocho Rios. A price of $210/night per double-occupancy and $160/night for single occupancy has been negotiated for a block of rooms. The price is "all-inclusive" and covers meals, snacks and drinks. Reservations must be made on or before December 2nd, 2009. Directions for making reservations can be found on the conference web site (http://www.pa.msu.edu/conf/wwnd2010). Visas are not required for most visitors to Jamaica, if they stay under 90 days. The following page lists visa requirements by country, http://www.congenjamaica-ny.org/visas/. Please do not hesitate to contact us at the email address below if you have any questions. We very much look forward to seeing all of you next January.
