Grades are based on a midterm and a final examination.  Homework problems will be assigned.

Take home problems.  Assignment date: TBA.  Due date:  TBA.  You may use any resource with the exception of other people.

Final Examination

Part I: Research paper that describes the underlying physics of an assigned journal article.

Part II: 15 minute talk to the class on the topic of your research paper.  You are encouraged to use transparencies.
