Take two minutes to form a discussion group of 3 students, choosing whomever you like. Feel free to get up and change your seat. Introduce yourselves if you are not sure who everyone is. If you need another person in your group, please raise your hand and we will find you a partner.

1. On the diagram below, representing a light bulb, your pencil, and your eye, draw light as a ray (an arrow) showing the path or paths of the light which enables you to see your pen.

2. You are sitting in a dark closet with a white ping-pong ball, a dark blue raquetball, and a "neon green" tennis ball. Which one of these objects, if any, can you see?

Hand in your activity for credit. One sheet per group.
