How to Use the CAPA System

TO SEE YOUR EXAM RESULTS:

Brace yourself. It is a 3-step procedure.

You must start all over again with step 1 each time there is a new midterm score.

Step 1. Use the web to request a temporary CAPA ID.

Go to http://capa4.lite.msu.edu/emailid.html?CLASS=qis205-003

Fill in the following boxes:

Student number: your student ID number

Set Number of CAPA ID needed: number of most recent quiz; for example “2”

Click on button marked “to request CAPAID”

èIMPORTANT!!!! You must get a NEW, separate ID# for each midterm.

Step 2. Your CAPA ID will be emailed to your campus email address.

So check your email to obtain your ID. This should happen almost instantaneously. But of course “instantaneously” sometimes can be a long time if the internet is screwed up.

Step 3. Back to your web browser, and use your CAPA ID to to view your quiz scores.

Go to http://capa4.lite.msu.edu/class.html?CLASS=qis205-003

Fill in the following boxes:

Student number: your student ID number

CAPA ID: that temporary ID you just got.

Click on button “View Previous Set” after filling in the midterm set number that goes with the CAPA ID #.
