Textbook
Fundamentals of Physics, Halliday, Resnick, and Walker, 6th Edition, Wiley.

Homework
There will be 12 homework assignments using LON-CAPA. Homework assignments will be due Monday nights at 11:59 pm.

Physics Learning Center
Hours will be scheduled for individual student assistance at the Strosacker Learning Center in BPS 1248. Our course will have TAs available according to the schedule to be announced.

Exams
There will be two midterm exams and one final exam with 30% optional correction credit. For example, if you miss ten questions on the midterm, you can get back credit for up to three of the questions by completing the corrections homework.

Grades
The final grade in this course will be based on homework, exams, and the final. The percentages are given below.
Homework: 30%
Midterm Exam 1: 20%
Midterm Exam 2: 20%
Final Exam: 30%
The following scale will be used to determine your final grade:

Excuse Policy
If any course requirements are missed, you must have a valid documented excuse (e.g. signed note from a doctor, parent, etc.) in order to retake or to have those requirements dropped/averaged. Excused absences or extensions will be approved only with proper documentation. When possible, please notify the instructor in advance if you must miss a course requirement, otherwise notify the instructor as soon as possible afterwards.
