FORMULA SHEET. will be provided which contains useful
formulas and physical constants.
THERE ARE NO MAKE-UP MIDTERMS
MIDTERMS will have 11 questions and will be graded on a 10 point scale (Scores of 110% are allowed).
Of the 11 questions, approximately half will be numeric and the remainder will be conceptual, e.g., true or false.
For midterms II and III, there will be one question from a previous midterm.
The Final Exam will be cumulative. The questions for the final will exclusively come from re-worded previous midterms. “Reworded” means that if a question previously gave x and y and asked for z, the question on the final might give z and x and ask for y. When conceptual questions are modified they will cover the same concepts as questions from the midterms.
Grading scales for exams will not be curved unless there was a mis-wording or error.
