• Many students may find that the 5th or 6th edition can serve their needs as the material and its ordering are very similar. In fact, almost any this decade's textbook covering the same material (non-calculus physics) should work well.
• Local bookstores carry a paperback version of the textbook: Serway, College Physics, Vol 2, Physics 232 & 232C, Michigan State University.
• Since this is an on-line course, you will not need to purchase a book with an HITT clicker.
• While the book presents the course material in a thorough fashion, with the exception of relativity, that material is also presented, in a more condensed fashion, under Loncapa. The on-line presentations give you an opportunity to catch up on the course material from wherever you have an internet access, even when you have no textbook around.
