First Assignment:

• Download and study "Introduction to Classical Mechanics" by Prof. Stump (the link is below). You can print this material in the Strosacker Center (Room 1248).

• Do problems 1 through 17 and 27 through 34 (at the end of the notes). We will meet Tuesday, May 29 at 4:00 PM in Room 1308 Biomedical and Physical Sciences Building. Hand in your written solutions at that first meeting. Also, there will be a quiz at that meeting.

• First Reading Assignment (click here)

Second Assignment:

• Read Chapter 1 of the textbook, Classical Dynamics by Thornton and Marion.

• Hand in written solutions to problems 1-7, 1-9, 1-12, 1-19, 1-25, 1-26 and 1-34 (due Tuesday May 29).

• Do Homework Set B on LON-CAPA (due Tuesday May 29).

Third Assignment:

• Start reading Chapter 2 of the textbook, Classical Dynamics by Thornton and Marion.

• Do Homework Set C on LON-CAPA (due Tuesday June 5).
