Grading weights for PHY 231C
(The online students do not have clcicker questions)

• Clicker questions: Correct answer receives 2 points; incorrect answer 1 point; no response or not present zero points. Clicker questions cannot be made-up.
• Homework: Every homework question is worth one point.
• Midterm exams: The maximum score on each midterm exam is 50 points.
• Final exam: The maximum score on the final exam is 100 points.
• Exam note sheets: A single side of an 8.5 inch by 11 inch sheet of handwritten notes is permitted for each midterm exam. On the final exam, four sheets (single sided) of 8.5 inch by 11 inch note sheets are permitted. Three associated with the midterm exams and one for the material covered after the last midterm exam.
• Homework points, clicker points and exam points are not equivalent (i.e. one homework point does not equal one exam point).
• This grading scale might be lowered, but it will not be raised.
