Planned Makeup Exam Ramifications

If your Midterm 1 or 2 went poorly you are offered an oral makeup exam option.

The oral exam may earn you up to 10pts out of 25 for either exam.

You can try to improve midterm 1 or 2 or both. Separate questions would pertain to material from the two midterms.

If you decide to take a makeup exam please bring along your homework. The questions would pertain to chapter summaries in the textbook and to setting up of solutions to homework problems. Finally, you might be asked to solve simple problems ranging in difficulty from fragments of written exam problems to clicker problems.

You would be graded on 10pts basis. I.e. 85% performance in responding to questions for a given midterm would translate to 8.5pts on that exam.

Your current midterm score cannot be lowered in taking the makeup exam. If your makeup score is better it will replace your current midterm score.

The location for the makeup exam is Cyclotron Rm. 2101. The offered times for the makeup exam are provided below. As time goes on further times are likely to be added.
