This folder contains a number of sub folders describing mechanical designs supporting the ATLAS CMX card.

The folders 
  drawings-front-panel
 and
  drawings-stiffening

contain the dimensioned drawings of all the parts and assembly related to the CMX card stiffening system and the front panel machining.  These drawings are .PNG files generated from within the Google Sketchup program.

Most folders contain .skp files, which are 3-D models built and modified within the Google Sketchup program.  Google Sketchup has a free version which can be used to create, modify, and view these models.

There are also a number of manufacturer-supplied .STP files in the appropriate directories.  These may be useful for building up models in CAD/CAM programs such as Solidworks.

Note about the front panel .STP files:

VME front panels come in 3U, 6U, and 9U lengths.  The ATLAS CMX front panels are 9U, but I could not find 9U .STP files from the manufacturer.  In my Google Sketchup model building I stretched the model of a 6U front panel to create a model for a 9U panel.
