CMX  Through Hole Components  and  their Assembly

The assembly vendor is to install a total of 23 through hole
components on each CMX circuit board.

In total there are 9 different types of THD components used
on the CMX card.  Some of these THD components are solder type
and some of them are press-fit type connectors.


THD Solder Components:

  There is a total of 15 THD Solder components on each CMX
  card.  All of these components mount from the top side
  of the card.  These components are:

        J9   Conn_HM_1x3       lower right-hand corner
       J10   Conn_3M_MDR_68    middle left-hand edge
       J11   Conn_3M_MDR_68    middle left-hand edge
       J12   Conn_2x8_Header   lower left-hand cornet
      SFP1   SFP_Cage_THD      upper left-hand edge
      SFP2   SFP_Cage_THD      upper left-hand edge
      SFP3   SFP_Cage_THD      lower left-hand edge
      SFP4   SFP_Cage_THD      lower left-hand edge
     DCDC1   PTH04T220W        top edge left
     DCDC2   PTH04T220W        top edge
     DCDC3   PTH05T210W        top edge
     DCDC4   PTH04T240W        top edge
     DCDC5   PTH04T240W        top edge
     DCDC6   PTH05T210W        top edge
     DCDC7   PTH04T240W        top edge right


  4 of these THD Solder components are connectors that are
  located on either the front or back edge of the card.
  4 more of these THD Solder components are SFP optical
  module "cages" that are located along the front edge.
  The other 7 THD Solder components are Texas Instruments
  Power Trends power supply modules that are located along
  the top edge of the card.



THD Press-Fit Components:

  There is a total of 8 THD Press-Fit components on each
  CMX card.  These 8 components are all press-fit connectors
  that mount from the top side of the card along it back edge.
  These connectors are:


       J1   Conn_HM_6x19    upper right-hand edge
       J2   Conn_HM_6x19          right-hand edge
       J3   Conn_HM_6x19          right-hand edge
       J4   Conn_HM_6x19          right-hand edge
       J5   Conn_HM_6x25          right-hand edge
       J6   Conn_HM_6x19          right-hand edge
       J7   Conn_HM_6x19          right-hand edge
       J8   Conn_HM_6x25    lower right-hand edge


  Press assembly of these connectors onto the CMX card
  requires the correct type of press, platen, and
  backing plate.
