Inventory and Status List of the Hub Cards ---------------------------------------------- Initial Rev. 24-July-2017 Current Rev. 4-Oct-2019 This Hub Inventory file contains an entry for each of the Hub Modules that have been processed through MSU Final Assembly. The entry for each Hub should include: - A very brief history of the Hub with emphasis on where the Hub has been used and any significant damage or repairs to the card. - The current location of the Hub. Recall the scheme for the Hub Module Serial Numbers: SN-00 This is the "mechanical only" Hub Module SN-01 This is the Prototype Hub without an FPGA SN-02 : SN-09 These are the 8 full function Prototype Hubs SN-10 This card does not exist SN-11 : SN-30 These are the 20 full function Production Hubs The Prototype Hubs and the Production Hubs are identical. Hub Latest Serial Entry Status - Location Number Date Significant Work on the Card ------ --------- ----------------------------------------------- 00 17-June-19 This is the "mechanical only" Hub card. It was shipped to Ed at Cambridge on 30-June-2017 in case we needed it during the initial ROD + Hub get together. Currently it is still at Cambridge e.g. so Ed can study Fiber Ribbon routing to the backplane MPO connectors. There is no Trailer Sheet for Hub SN-00. Hub SN-00, the "mechanical only" Hub was returned to MSU 17-June-2019. 01 24-July-17 This is the Hub card without an FPGA and without either of the two ATCA Power Modules. This card did go through a MSU Final Assembly process and it does have a trailer sheet. Hub SN-01 was used for lots of power supply tests and studies. Currently the FAN_1V8 supply on this card is disabled so that it is easy to run it without fan cooling. This card required an external +12 Volt supply and a low current external +5V supply for operation. To power up this card, apply the +5V first and then the +12V. Power down in the reverse order. Currently this card is setup and ready to run in Rm 1200C. It is ready to use for Ethernet Switch tests. The 4 front panel RJ-45 connections to the Enet Switch have been tested along with some fraction of the backplane connections to the Enet Switch. 02 30-July-17 This is a full normal prototype Hub card. It has gone through a MSU Final Assembly process and it does have a Trailer Sheet. Hub SN-02 has a temporary Front Panel with an On-Off Switch. It has a temporary FPGA Heat Sink that has been bonded to the FPGA and has a center hose barb for air release. This card does not have: an IPMC, a FRU/SU EEPROM, Enet Switch EEPROMs, or a Sensor I2C Bus EEPROM. This card was shipped to Ed at Cambridge on 30-June-2017. At Cambridge a ROD was installed on this card and this card was operated with both FTM and eFEX IBERT data sources. Hub SN-02 has MSU (CMX owned) MiniPODs and fiber optic Ribbon Cables installed on it. Both the Transmitter and Receiver MiniPODs are the 10 Gbps type and they have the Avago type heat sinks and thus Hub SN-02 takes space in the next higher ATCA slot. As of 19-July-2017 this card had the latest version of the Safe/Foundation firmware in its Flash Configuration PROM. 03 30-July-17 This is a full normal prototype Hub card. It has gone through a MSU Final Assembly process and it does have a Trailer Sheet. Hub SN-03 has a temporary Front Panel with an On-Off Switch. As of 19-July-2017 this card had the latest version of the Safe/Foundation firmware in its Flash Configuration PROM. 04 11-Aug-17 This is a full normal prototype Hub card. Hub SN-04 has had its initial power up tests. Hub SN-04 is running in the 6 slot ATCA Shelf for Enet IPBus development work at MSU. 05 25-Aug-17 This is a full normal prototype Hub card. Hub SN-05 has had its initial power up tests. Hub SN-05 is running in the 14 slot ATCA Shelf along with the FTM card for backplane transfer IBERT tests. On Friday 25-Aug-2017 ROD SN-01 was installed on Hub SN-05. This Hub+ROD continues to run in the 14 slot ATCA shelf at MSU for backplane IBERT tests. 30 OCT 19 Hub #5 is currently in the 6SS #1 06 9-Oct-17 This is a full normal prototype Hub card. MSU Final Assembly has been completed on Hub SN-06 and it is finished with its initial power up and bench tests. Currently Hub SN-06 is stored at MSU. 30 OCT 19 Installed ROD V3#3 taken from HUB#11. HUB #6 is currently in 14SS #2. 07 4-Oct-19 This is a full normal prototype Hub card. MSU Final Assembly has been completed on Hub SN-07 and it is finished with its initial power up and bench tests. Currently Hub SN-07 with an IPMC installed is used in the 6 slot ATCA shelf for IPMC tests at MSU. Hub SN-07 spent a lot of time in the 14 Slot Shelf and looks 100% OK during Ethernet and MGT Link tests. On 13-Nov-2018 SN-07 was shipped to Yuri at CERN along with 24 IPMCs. SN-07 has an IPMC installed but its power on/off is control by its Handle Switch. Hub SN-07 which had been in Yuri's office was returned to MSU on 3-Oct-2019 on DHL Air Way Bill 6540110113. 30 OCT 19 Installed ROD V3#1 on this card. It is currently in the storage shelf waiting for time in 14SS. 08 27-Sept-19 This is a full normal prototype Hub card. MSU Final Assembly has been completed on Hub SN-08 and it is finished with its initial power up and bench tests. Currently Hub SN-08 is stored at MSU. 30-Oct-2017 Further Final Assembly: 7-Sept-2018 Another round of Final Assembly, Setup for IPMC control of Hub power, 100% current final version except no ROD. Re-test all MGT links. Ship to CERN Yuri air waybill 8112 7236 3029 on 7-June-2019 Hub SN-08 was in the CERN STF and powered On during the over temperature incident of Sunday 15-Sept-2019. 27-Sept-2019 09 4-Oct-19 This is a full normal prototype Hub card. MSU Final Assembly was completed on Hub SN-09 on 30-Oct-17 and it is finished with its initial power up and bench tests. Currently Hub SN-09 is stored at MSU and used for power supply calibration and trim tests. Hub SN-09 was mated with ROD SN-04 then tested between 15 and 21 Feb 2018 and then shipped to Yuri at CERN on the 21-Feb-2018. Hub SN-09 with ROD SN-04 arrived back from CERN on 5-Dec-2018. Did the work here to repair the damage and bring Hub SN-09 as close to final setup as possible. Re-Test in slots 1 and 2 with Philippe's Rev 3 files and test Enet Swch. 22-Feb-2019 ship back to Yuri on waybill 811272363235 along with another USB-JTAG cable. Hub SN-09 with its ROD SN-04 was in the CERN STF but powered Off during the over temperature incident on Sunday 15-Sept-2019. 27-Sept-2019 Hub SN-09 with its ROD V2 SN4 which had been in the STF but powered Off during the over temperature event was returned to MSU on 3-Oct-2019 on DHL Air Way Bill 6540110113. 06 DEC 19 Received Hub SN-09 and Rod SN-04.
