Level 2 Framework Cables ------------------------ This section is the list of all the cables that go into the L2 FW M122 Bottom Crate. On the front we have 3 places where we need to get the front signals from 2 adjacent THE-Cards into the front of a Pass-Through card. So this will be a total of 24 of these cables. I think that these "Pass-Through Input Cables" come in two flavors: normal and "as long as you can make it". So then this would be 12 of each of these two flavors of "Pass-Through Input Cables". --> 48x 34 pin connectors. This is made from ?? pitch cable Answer from L2 Global. There are 8 of these cables. They are normal 34 pin connector at each end cables. They can be made from the 24" twist stuff and are ??? twist sections long. So this will take 16 of the 34 pin connectors. L1 Fired Mask from M123 Middle Slot 19. There are 8 of these cables. They are normal 34 pin connector at each end cables. They can be made from the 24" twist stuff and are ??? twist sections long. So this will take 16 of the 34 pin connectors. Estimate for the rest of the L2 FW internal wiring in M122 Bottom based on the connectors on the paddle boards this will take 50 of the 34 pin connectors. This is a total of 130 of the 34 pin connectors for the L2FW Internal Cabling. Cables to/from the SCL Hub-End ------------------------------ L1 Accept to the SCL Hub-End These signals run from the back of the Pass-Throughs in Slot 21 of M123 Middle to the Status Concentrators Cards in the back of M124, the SCL Hub-End Crate. +--+ / -------| 1| / | | 16 pin +--+ / /-------| | |1 |---------- / +--+ | | / | | < | | \ | |---------- \ +--+ +--+ \ \-------| 1| \ | | 16 pin 34 pin \--------| | \-x +--+ The 17th pair is not used. Each of these cable assemblies carries 16 signals so there are 8 of these assemblies for the 128 Geo Sections. These are 2 twisted sections long of the 24" pitch cable ("normal" cable is 20" pitch). L1 Busy from the SCL Hub-End These signals run from the Status Concentrators Cards in the back of M124, the SCL Hub-End Crate, to the back of the L1 Busy TRM's in M123 Top Crate Slots 16 and 17. These are 3 (but possibly just 2) twisted sections long of the 24" pitch cable. L2 Accept to the SCL Hub-End These signals run from the front of the L2 Reject FOM cards in slots 12 and 13 of M122 Bottom Crate to the Status Concentrators Cards in the back of M124, the SCL Hub-End Crate. Each of these cable assemblies carries 16 signals so there are 8 of these assemblies for the 128 Geo Sections. These are ??? twisted sections long between the two 34 pin connectors and ??? twisted sections long between the middle 34 pin connector and the two 16 pin connectors at the SCL Hub-End. These cables are made from the 24" pitch cable. L2 Reject to the SCL Hub-End These signals run from the front of the L2 Reject FOM cards in slots 12 and 13 of M122 Bottom Crate to the Status Concentrators Cards in the back of M124, the SCL Hub-End Crate. L2 Busy from the SCL Hub-End These signals run from the Status Concentrators Cards in the back of M124, the SCL Hub-End Crate, to the back of the L2 BAD AONM's in M122 Bottom Crate Slots 18 and 19. These are about ??? twisted sections long of the 24" pitch cable. Component Totals for the Cables to/from the SCL Hub-End There are 5 types of cables with 8 cables of each type. So there are 40 cables total. Each cable has two of the 16 pin connectors --> so 80 of the 16 pin connectors. Each cable has 1 of the 34 pin connectos plus one type of cable (i.e. 8 cables) has a second 34 pin connector --> so 48 of the 34 pin connectors. Total connector Count for the Level 2 Framework Internal Cables and the Cables to/from the SCL Hub-End: 80 of the 16 pin connectors. 48 of the 34 pin connectors
