CABLES ENTERING THE M109 TIER 2 BACKPLANE 11-DEC-1991 9-MAR-1992 I. Overview This document describes the entrance of cables to a Tier 2 Backplane. Here it is assumed that the "order correction" takes place elsewhere, as there is absolutely no room here for that. Note that the "power supply controller box" that is normally located on top of a rack cannot be present on the top of a rack containing a Tier 2/3 Backplane. It will be suspended from the ceiling of the MCH. The cables arrive at paddleboards installed in the rear of a Tier 2 Backplane. These paddleboards are supported by nylon "stilts." Note that the M109 Tier 2 cables have the Reference Sets correctly designated from 0..3 (rather than from 1..4 as in M105 Tier 2 cables) II.
