              L2 Test Stand Relay Software Version 1.0 Release Notes
                          -------------------------

16-July-2001:

General:

  This is the first release of the L2 TCC software.

  The product name "L2 Relay Software" corresponds to the primary
  functionality of this application:  relay programming commands
  from COOR to the L2 Processor Crates, and relay the Monitoring
  information from the L2 Processor Crates to the Monitoring
  applications.

  This release is intended for use on the L2 Test Stand.

  The only two useful items available in this Version are
      - a "VME IO" sub menu 
      - a Button labelled "Ask L1TCC Help ReSynch"

VME IO Dialog:

  The "VME IO" menu is identical to the functionality available in
  VME_Access V1.0, cf. http://www.pa.msu.edu/hep/d0/ftp/tcc/vme_access/

Ask L1TCC Help ReSynch:

  Clicking on the "Ask L1TCC Help ReSynch" button will cause L2RS to:

    1) execute the Auxiliary Pre Resynch L2TS VME IO Command File 
     \Trics\D0_Config\Auxi_Pre_ReSynch_L2TS.vio

    2) send a message to L1 TCC to temporarily pause event flow for 1 second.

    3) execute the Auxiliary Post Resynch L2TS VME IO Command File 
     \Trics\D0_Config\Auxi_Post_ReSynch_L2TS.vio

Known problems:

  The directory structure expected by L2RS is called \Trics instead of \L2rs

  The program crashes trying to clean up after the user clicks 
  on the "Exit" button.
