                     L2 Relay Software Installation Notes
                          -------------------------

16-July-2001:

   The Bit3 Model 618 Adapter(s) must be installed in the PC, or in 
   an attached Bit3 PCI Expansion Box.

   The Bit3 Model 983 NT Support Software V2.3 or above 
   must be installed on the PC.
        - Run the self extracting distribution (e.g. 85221831.exe for V2.3)
          This will create a number of files in your default directories
        - Run the Setup.exe file that was just created.
   
    UnZip the L2RS_Vn.m.p.zip distribution archive:
        - Unzip to the root of any disc (e.g. C:\)
        - This will create a top level directory \Trics
        - This will also create \Trics\Doc
                                \Trics\Exe
                                \Trics\D0_Config
                                \Trics\D0_Log

    The Executable will be created as \Trics\Exe\L2RS_Vn.m_Revp.exe
    (The first release is L2RS_TestStand_V1.0_RevE.exe)

    The documentation will be in \Trics\Doc

    Running the program will create a logfile in \Trics\D0_Log
    with a name identifying the day the executable was started,
    and the version of the executable.
