Untenured Faculty Review

Each autumn, I will review each untenured faculty member, individually. This review consists of two parts:

  1. The first part is a discussion among the Associate Chairperson for Academics, the faculty mentor, and the Chairperson. The purpose of this meeting will be to assess both research progress and teaching progress and especially plan for teaching assignments to cover an adequate balance of courses to be successful during tenure and promotion.
  2. The second part is a private discussion between the faculty member and the Chairperson.
