the Arms Control and Disarmament Series while a Fermilab Post Doc.This

It continued for a number of years after I left. [back]
1987-1990Member of the Fermilab
Users Executive Committee, and Chairman of that organization, 1988-1990.
This is the organization which represents the professional interests of the
2000-member strong community of scientists which make use of the Fermilab
accelerator complex from URA member universities. [back]
1988Member of the Fermilab Director
Search Committee. This committee was responsible for the international
search for a successor to Leon Lederman as director of the Laboratory. Our
choice, ratified by the URA, was John Peoples. [back]
1990-1995Member of the Fermilab Physics Advisory Committee.
This committee, made up of a dozen high energy physicists from institutions
from within and outside of the fermilab community throughout the world, advises
the Director on programatic issues related to all aspects of the Fermilab
accelerator complex. [back]
1991-1994Special Assistant

of Energy. [back]
1994-presentCo-founder (with
Dan Amidei at the University of Michigan) and editor of the tev_2000 workshop
on High pt Physics at the Tevatron. This is a non-Fermilab group which
organized to explore the physics potential of a "superluminous"
Tevatron for the post-Main Injector era. More than a hundred physicists took
part in this study and 70 of them are authors on an extensive report
written for the Director. This work continues and is undergoing a Laboratory
review presently. [back]
1998-present Member of the Fermilab Users Executive Committee. I have re-upped to this important user organization.
