Brass Crate Ground Bracket ------------------------------ Original Rev. 28-JAN-2008 Current Rev. 29-JAN-2008 Please make 4 of these "Crate Ground Brackets". The raw material for making the Crate Ground Brackets is 2" wide by 3/16" thick brass bar stock. I have already ordered the material to make these 4 Crate Ground Brackets. I will bring it to the shop when it arrives. If additional material is needed please feel free to order it. Each Crate Ground Bracket has 17 sets of "ground connector holes" which are shown in the top part of the drawing. Each set of these holes is spaced exactly 0.800" apart from the previous set. Each Crate Ground Bracket also has 8 "bracket mounting holes" which are shown in the lower part of the drawing. All of the larger holes are 1/4" diameter. Most of these 1/4" diameter holes are for mounting the ground receptacles. These ground receptacles need to be a close fit in these holes because they must line up with pins on the preamp cards. For these holes please select a drill or reamer that makes a hole that is a close fit for these receptacles. All of the smaller holes are body drill holes for M2.5 cheese head screws. I will provide examples of the ground receptacles and M2.5 screws. This part is NOT symmetric. Please feel free to suggest any design changes that would make these parts easier for you to machine. Please do not worry if an extra hole or two gets poked in these ground brackets. That will not effect their operation. These ground brackets run along the back of the card files that hold the preamplifier cards. They are made of brass for good conductivity. All of this stuff eventually goes into the Preamp Boxes that you folks are making.
