ATLAS Experiment at CERN

ATLAS is one of two large detectors being built to study the proton-proton interactions at 14 TeV Center-of-Mass Energy at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The ATLAS collaboration includes thousands of particle physicists, engineers and technical experts from all over the world.

The experimental High Energy Physics group at MSU is helping to build TILECAL, the ATLAS subdetector which measures hadrons (strongly interacting particles) produced in the interactions.
