Description: The function of the ITC fibers assemblies is to transmit the light from the ITC gap scintillators and Cryostat crack scintillators to the PMT's in the Tilecal girder. This is done using 1 mm diameter, clear optical fibers encased in thin wall plastic tubing for protection against ambient light and mechanical damage. A bundle of 8 fibers is provided for each of the 4 scintilator cells, ending in an optical connector that will plug into the scintillator modules. The fibers are routed through the profiles on both sides of the ITC plug submodule to the PMT's reserved for these scintillators. The transition from the sheathed fiber bundle into the profiles is supported by two guide plates that are attached to the edges of the ITC end plate. The assemblies are installed onto the modules along with the tiles and WLS fibers.
