Dear Students in PHY 183B or PHY 233B, Scheduling is now open for Exam #1 at Examity. Please, log in to the PHY 183B/233B class at LON-CAPA. Click on the "Go to Examity Dashboard here" folder right after the syllabus. When the folder opens up, click on the "Let's go to Examity Dashboard" item, and then on the "Access Examity Dashboard" link. This link will take you to Examity in a new browser tab. On your Examity Dashboard click on the "Schedule Exam" picture, and then select a time slot. Exam #1 is one hour long. You can pick a start time at any time between June 10th, Monday, 6:00 PM eastern time and June 11th, Tuesday, 4:30 PM eastern time. At Examity all these times will be translated to your own local time based on the time zone information you provided in your Examity Dashboard. The granularity of the time schedule is going to be 30 minutes, i.e. you will be able to pick exam times starting at each hour and each half-hour. Examity proctors a large number of exams online each day. However, they only have a finite number of employees and a finite amount of computational resources. There are going to be limits on the number of available time slots at any given times. Please, be flexible and have several time slots ready on your schedule when you are selecting a start time. Your understanding is greatly appreciated! If your exam is scheduled successfully, you will receive a confirmation email from Examity. If you schedule well in advance - more than 24 hours ahead -, then you will not be charged any fees for scheduling. However if you need to schedule or re-schedule within less than 24 hours before your exam, then you will have to use the "On-Demand" scheduling option, which will include a $5 fee. You will be responsible for this fee. The payment options include all major credit cards: Amex, VISA, MasterCard. The fee for regular i.e. non-emergency proctoring will be automatically covered by MSU for all your exams. You will not be asked to pay for them at any point during the class. Thank you very much!
