Dear Students in PHY 183B and 233B, Thank you for taking Exam #2. The class average for Exam #2 was 26.7/50.0, and for the Correction #2 the average was 43.8/50.0. If you took "Exam #2", then you will see a score in that line of the table, but zero in the "Backup #2" line. If you took "Backup #2", then you will see your score in that line, and zero point in the "Exam #2" line. Please, just ignore the zeros, they will not be included in your grade. The scores displayed by LON-CAPA are raw scores. You will have to combine the exam score and the correction score by hand following the formula from the syllabus. The class averages above are combined together in the exact same way: 26.7+0.3*(43.8-26.7) = 26.7+0.3*17.1 = 26.7+5.1 = 31.8 which is a 63.6% performance. If your exam score is not as high as you expected, then please, do not panic. Please, sit down, push it hard, and you will get a happy grade at the end. Please, don't forget to schedule Exam #3 with Examity. Thank you! If you are in the PHY 183B class, then please, schedule your Final Exam as well. If you are in the PHY 233B class, then you don't have a final exam. Tibor Nagy (nagytibo@msu.edu, web.pa.msu.edu/people/nagy_t/)
