Dear Student in PHY 215B,

Our first quiz is tomorrow, Friday. Anytime between 8 AM and 10 PM
you can click on the "Quiz #1" folder inside LON-CAPA, and then on
one of the questions, and then on the "Show resource" button. Once
you start taking the quiz, a timer will count down from 30 minutes
to zero. You will not need the full 30 minutes, you will be done in
5 or 10 minutes. A quiz typically will have 2 or 3 simple questions
on the current week's material. Quiz #1 will cover the same material
as Homework Set #1: the first half of Special Relativity: Chapter 2,
Sections 1 through 9.

For the quiz you will need a pen or a pencil, your favorite calculator,
scrap paper. You can use your notes and the text book.

The questions will be in "exam mode" instead of "homework mode". You
will have multiple choices and twelve tries for each question. LON-CAPA
will not give you immediate "Correct" or "Incorrect" feedback in green
or red color, it will just say "Answer submitted ..." in yellow. You
can change your mind eleven times if you think you picked an incorrect
answer. All your submissions are recorded, but only the very last
submission will be graded for each question. You are allowed to move
back and forth between the questions during the quiz.
