Who Are We?

We are the Mechanical Support Group of Michigan State University'sPhysics Department. Currently we are working on projects to be used at Fermi National Lab andCERN.

Dean Shooltz

Dean is a senior at MSU majoring in Physics. He is best known around thethe department for creating the Dean-O-Matic, a machine that removes excess epoxy from the end connectors of the optical cables that we are manufacturing. Besides being a hard working full time student Dean also enjoys juggling and collecting junk.


Ryan Hooper

Ryan is a senior MSU majoring in Physics. He is the Senior Class Officer of the Society of Physics Students and is also on the SPS Social Committee. Ryan is currently involved in getting out applications to as many Grad Schools as possible (the more places one applies, the more likely one will be accepted!). In his spare time Ryan enjoys hunting and drinking Guinness, although not at the same time.


Brian VanKuik

Brian is a juniorat MSU majoring in Physics. He is the Junior Class Officer of the Society of Physics Students. In his spare time Brian enjoys writing in HTML See his MSU Outreach page. He also makes great buritos, and is addicted to Moutain Dew!!


Cheryl Trevino

Cheryl is a freshman at MSU majoring in Physics. She is the Freshman Class Officer of the Society of Physics Students. In her spare time Cheryl likes to build and launch model rockets. Not just your 'run of the mill' models, her most recent accomplishment was building a 1/2 scale model of the US Patriot missle. She is affectionately known as the Rocket Goddess.
