Refreshments at 3:30 pm in Rm. 1400 BPS Bldg Speaker: Nima Arkani-Hamed Harvard University Title: Fundamental Physics in 2010 Abstract: Fundamental Physics is on the threshold of an exciting new era, with the anticipated start of the Large Hadron Collider this year. Will the LHC show evidence for supersymmetry -- the first extension of our notions of spacetime since relativity? Will it reveal new dimensions of space or new strong forces? Or will an even more radical possibility gain support, that our observable universe is a miniscule part of an enormous multiverse hidden behind our cosmological horizon? In this talk, I will describe what the LHC can tell us about these questions by 2010.
