EXAMS
For each exam, each student should bring a #2 pencil,a calculator for numerical calculation (Graphing calculators are permitted) and a picture ID.

be provided which contains useful formulas and physical constants.
THERE ARE NO MAKE-UP MIDTERMS
If you have a University sanctioned trip, contact Prof. Pratt
(prattsc@msu.edu) one week before the exam about taking the exam at a
special time.

of how a midterm can be dropped from your score.
MIDTERMS will have 8 numerical and 12 conceptual (e.g. T/F) problems.
Approximately 1/2 of midterm questions will be modified* homework problems.
The FINAL will have 16 numerical and 24 conceptual problems. 1/2 of problems will address material covered after the fourth midterm, the other 1/2 will be cummulative. Cummulative questions for final will exclusively come from modified* midterm and practice exam questions.
