Traveling to MSU

The two most convenient airports to fly into to get to Michigan State University are the Lansing International Airport (airport code LAN) and the Detroit Metro Airport (airport code DTW). The Lansing airport is a 15 minute cab ride to the Candlewood Suites Hotel, and the hotel also has a complimentary airport shuttle. The Detroit airport is approximately 70 miles away, but offers a much larger array of flight options than the Lansing airport. One can either rent a car or take one of various shuttle options from the Detroit airport to the Candlewood Suites Hotel. A particularly nice shuttle is the Michigan Flyer, which stops in downtown East Lansing (within range of the Candlewood Suites' shuttle bus). A round trip ticket costs $50, and the bus features complimentary wireless internet.
