Magzines Online

PM-Magazin has a variety of articles covering many disciplines of science.
c't a German computing magazine that covers all areas of computing.

Newspapers Online

Most of the major newspapers have online companions in the meantime. Too many to actually read them all. However I like to read USA today and the New York Times every once in a while to see what's going on in the world.
Another good resource if you know German is Die Welt . For news in Japanese I visit Asahi Shinbun occasionally. (It's still a little too advanced for my limited knowledge of Japanese.)

TV News Shows

Although CNN and others present a large variety of topics my favorite news show is the German Tagesschau a daily 15 minute news show. (I watch it using RealPlayer.)

Strictly Online

The catagory might seem redundant since all of these resources are found on the Internet. In contrast to some of the other links I listed these services can only be found online.
I first read about The Nando Times in an article about useful uses of Java applets. They provide a rather nice news applet that keeps you uptodate on different catagories.

More and more online computer magazines are popping up and I like to read a few of them. Java World is published monthly with usually a midmonth update. It covers the JavaTM language with tips, articles and news.
Linux World does a similar thing for the linux operating system.

Movies

Enough now about all this serious news stuff. Let's get some entertainment. The movie industry discovered the power of the web to promote their newest features relatively early. And some are excellent web sites in their own right although many are pretty lame.
Among the better ones are the StarTrek movie web pages and I am hopeful for the upcoming Star Wars movies. Oh, by the way LEGO has some infos on there upcoming Star Wars models.
Have you ever had a look at the Lost in Space site? It has a good VRML game!

Radio

More and more radio shows and stations are going online with life or canned broadcast. Among them is my favorite radio station from home, NDR2 RealAudio life stream .
Feeling like some party music? Try Open House Party There live stream is hosted by BroadcastMusic.com.
